21 East Park Road is an incredibly beautiful home and is incredibly well-preserved for its age. It features outstanding masonry on its bottom half as shown by its original intact stone arches surrounding the doorways and porch of the home.

History

The home existed at least as early as 1909, as it's included on the Haverford Township map. It's also included in the 1913 map where the atlas lists "E.H. Giles" as its owner. E.H. Giles has references in newspapers to living in Llanerch as early as 1908, meaning the house could definitely be older than that.

1920 census: Iron & steel merchant Joseph is living with his family and North Caroolinian maid. The census lists her race as "mulatto", a now-outdated term for a person of mixed-race descent.

Concurrent to their residence in Havertown, the Waynes owned beachside property in Ocean City, New Jersey, and attempted to sell said land in 1920.

In 1967, Leah died, and Betty acquired the property by 1970. In 1982, the sold them home to Richard & Joanne Levy for $85,000. The Levy family sold to Larry and Debbie Price for $137,500 in 1986. The house went on sale again in 1988 and was sold by the Prices for $217,900.
